Two MyCard Options for Queensland Teachers’ Credit Union Members
To meet the needs of more individuals, QTCU offers two choices of credit cards by way of the Silver and Gold options. Let’s compare:
- MyCard Silver – 55 interest free days; card credit limits beginning at $2000; competitive interest rates; rewards program including Take Flight Travel; round-the-clock customer service 7 days a week; four additional card can be issued at no additional charge; free purchase coverage insurance; EFTPOS and ATM access; low introductory balance transfer interest rate for new card holders; Fraudshield for card security and protection against fraudulent and unauthorised use.
- MyCard Gold – this card offers all the benefits of the Silver option along with some additional features. QTCU Card Management Online
To make managing your credit card easier, QTCU offers online banking convenience. You can use the website for MyCard to track and monitor card activity and transactions, card balance, and reward points earned. You simply log into www.cardservicesdirect.com.au to easily manage your credit card at any hour of the day or night. The MyCard website allows card holders to:
- monitor card balance and daily activity
- view card transaction history up to a period of 12 months
- view card statements and due dates
- use your card to make BPAY payments
- change your ATM pin number
To log into your MyCard website account, you will need your 16-digit MasterCard number and your ATM pin. If you lose your pin number or are not sure what it is, you can contact QTCU by phone for assistance. It is important if your pin is lost or stolen that you contact the card services department as soon as possible for your own protection.
QTCU MyCard – Who Can Apply
Everyone enjoys the convenience and time savings offered by the ability to handle many financial tasks easily and efficiently. QTCU makes the card application process easy for all MasterCardMyCard applicants.
You must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of Australia, and a member of QTCU. You can download an application from their website and drop it by a branch or call the information into the credit union.
To become a member of the credit union, you are required to buy one share in the ownership currently offered at $10. You also do not have to be a teacher to join; the credit union is open to everyone. If you decide to leave for any reason, your share is returned.

The Difference Between a Credit Union and a Bank

QTCU is a co-operative, so all customers are shareholders, but the shares are not limited to teachers; anyone can join the co-op.
