For a second year in a row, a feat not often achieved, Community Alliance Credit Union has claimed the victory and is proud to announce itself as the Money Magazine Credit Union of the Year for 2010.
Community Alliance Credit Union
According to Community Alliance Credit Union’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Halloran, the Community Alliance Credit Union prides itself in being a member-based organization with a strong focus on offering competitive alternatives to traditional banks and banking. It appears that this focus has not gone without notice as the Credit Union of the Year award selects its victors based on merit in both products and services.
The Award
When considering whom to name as the victor for this year, many things were taken into account. It is reported that thousands of products and services available from hundreds of financial institutions were evaluated and scored by a panel of experts from Canstar Cannex to determine the victor.
The highest aggregate score in each of the three most prestigious categories; Credit Union of the Year, Bank of the Year and Building Society of the Year was awarded the title respective to each category. In this case, it was Community Alliance Credit Union with the highest aggregate score among all other credit unions, thus claiming the award for the second year running.
What’s Next
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Mike Halloran, this is not the end for Community Alliance Credit Union. Though he and his organization consider the award very prestigious and an affirmation of all the work he and Community Alliance has done so far, the work is not over.
Winning the award for the second year running would be cause for many other organizations to fly in a holding pattern, riding the air of success and touting the award as a means to get new clients and customers. Community Alliance Credit Union and Mike Halloran ensure that this is not the case for Community Alliance, instead, they plan to use this as a launchpad to increase their efforts to ensure that the award remains deserved throughout this year and next, hopefully allowing them to yet again snatch the victory for 2011.
Instead of letting the award win them new clients, Community Alliance plans to use their already golden reputation to keep winning new clients with products and services.
