The Westpac Earth Card is the standard level credit card in Westpac’s Earth range. Gold and platinum versions are also available if your income makes you eligible. These cards are all companion credit cards; that is, two credit cards issued on one account, with one monthly bill, one annual fee, and one credit limit. The idea is that having two cards makes earning rewards points a faster process.
The rewards program for the Westpac Earth Card is linked to the Qantas Frequent Flyer scheme, and the customer will receive a MasterCard version of their card and an American Express version. Using the Amex card where these are accepted earns more points per dollar than using the MasterCard. If Amex is not an option, then you use your MasterCard to make the purchase instead.

However, all this talk of rewards programs might distract you from noticing the other must-have feature of the Westpac Earth Card; namely, the introductory offer on balance transfers from non-Westpac credit cards of 0.99% p.a. for 6 months. The least you could be paying on an existing debt at a regular interest rate would be 10%, and the likelihood is that it’s several points higher than that.
